Fresh and tangy starter
If you want to make a starter for your dinner party, but you don’t want to spend hours preparing it, this hot and spicy prawn recipe is quick and easy to prepare.
Method: Place beetroot, carrot and pepper strips in a bowl and top with king prawns and chunks of smoked salmon. Make your spicy sauce by combining olive oil with chilli sauce, a dash of sugar and a splash of vinegar. Pour over your salad and serve with a wedge of lemon and crusty bread.
Quick Desserts
If one of your deserts has gone wrong, or you have an additional last minute guest, you may not have enough time to prepare a brand new dessert at such short notice. Why not try this quick and easy Banoffee Pie recipe?
Method: Crush plain or vanilla cookies into tiny crumbs and combine with melted butter to form a thick mixture. Place the crumbs in a cake tin and push down firmly. Cover the cookie layer with some caramel sauce or caramel flavored condensed milk. Then slice a banana and lay the circles evenly across the caramel. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with some crushed chocolate pieces.
