Beyonce is Pregnant!

No. Seriously. She is pregnant for real.

I know this may be hard to believe with all the hoaxes in the past, but it’s true. She said and showed it herself.

Red carpet 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

Beyonce unveiled her belly bump on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday. She was all smiles and glowing. There was no denying that this wasn’t a hoax. But to squash all naysayers, Beyonce gave a performance of her life, and the one growing inside her.

Take a look and see…

http://www.mtv.com/videos/misc/684908/love-on-top-live.jhtml

At the end of the performance, Beyonce let it be known that she was expecting and that she loved her man, Jay.

The "belly rub" felt around the world.

YAY!

The sheer adoration and love that exuded from Jay when Beyonce unveiled their little miracle was nothing less than amazing.

The salute wasn’t have bad either.

*swag*

I can’t wait for this baby. I feel like Beyonce and Jay are friends in my head and I’m super excited for them.

I wonder if I’ll get an invite for the baby shower and christening?!?

*crossing fingers and toes*

Now that is out of the way, we can get to the real important question…what is their chid going to look like?

YIKES

We all know Beyonce is beautiful, but Jay has some questionable and prominent genes. Bey can’t carry this all on her own. I guess at this point it’s a waiting game and when the bun is ready to come out the oven, we will see who’s genes won.

Hopefully it wil be Beyonce, but if not a good mixture of both.

Congrats to the parents-to-be

Either way, Sheer Thought sends out their congratulations to Beyonce and Jay.

Music Monday – Beyonce “1+1″

Hey Everyone.

I hope my Eastern Seaboard folks are alright after our run in with Hurricane Irene. I’m just just fine in NYC. Being a Floridian, Irene was nothing but a shower.

SMH.

You would have thought with all the hysteria and whatnot that was going on in NYC that we were bracing ourselves for a category 5 hurricane. It was just a little sprinkle of water…and minor flooding in places that flood all the time. Nothing to write home about or shutdown public transportation for the whole city.

But…whatever.

Let’s move on to the real topic at hand.

It’s Music Monday!

YAY!

Today I want to share one of my favorite songs from Beyonce’s new album “4″.

I like a lot of songs on the album, but just a couple of them really stand out for me. This is not a home run hitter album like “I Am…Sasha Fierce” and “Bday”, but it has some potential.

Take a listen to Beyonce – “1+1″

I need a moment. That girl right there can not just sing a song…she can SANG a song.

The sheer emotion in her voice on this song makes you feel the love she has for her man. The words alone make you understand, but her singing those words…. makes the words REAL.

“If I aint got nothing, I got you
If I aint got something I don’t give a damn, cause I got it with you
I don’t know much about algebra, but I know one plus one equals two
And it’s me and you, thats all we’ll have when the world is thru

Cause baby we aint got nothing without love
Darling you got enough for the both of us
So come on baby, make love to me”

YES!

*soul snap*

Can you feel it?

That’s love right there. Unconditional, no-holds-barred love.

That’s exactly what I need in my life.

I don’t know if she wrote this song, but if she did….Jay Z knows what he got and so does she.

If you love someone like that, play this song for them. If they knew already, then they would just appreciate you more. If they didn’t know you felt that way, they will definitely know now.

Go on now. Make love and babies…uh…if you ready for all that.

Music Monday: Ritchie Stephens – Trying To Get To You

Morning All!

Hope your weekends were full of excitement and dry weather because mine wasn’t. NYC was rained out from Saturday night until today.

Kinda sucked, but I was able to get some fun in on Friday night. I had dinner and drinks at one of my favorite sushi restaurants, East Reastaurant, with my little sister and cousin. They had a DJ spinning some good tracks and I was feeling the effects of my plum wine. Soon after the DJ got comfortable on the 1s and 2s, he started spinning was old school reggae. The DJ was so good I forgot I was even at a Japanese restaurant. I could have sworn I was in some dancehall in Brooklyn whining it up.

Caribbean Swag.

After a couple of hours, the DJ played one of my favorite old school reggae songs I always wanted to download but never knew the title or artist. Thanks to modern technology, I was able to get my question answered. I pulled out my smart phone and…

SHAZAM!

I was kinda shocked it was able to read the song through all the noise in the restaurant, but it did and it came back with a match. I raced home and proceeded to download the song. When I play the song…I found out Shazam done hoodwinked me! It wasn’t the song at all.

SAD DAY.

With a beat and the few words I knew…I called the only reggae head I knew. So what it was well past midnight. I needed that song on my iPod. Plus, it was a Friday night. She was up.

So after an hour or so of me humming the same beat and she looking through 1900+ reggae songs she had…WE FOUND IT!

YAY!

With all that you are probably asking…what is this song and is it really that good?

It is.

Take a listen for yourself. I’m sure you’ve heard it before.

LIGHT YA FIYAH!

*bullet bullet*

Sorry…I get a little out of control when I hear a good reggae song. I can’t help it. It’s the Caribbean blood running deep within me.

I’m sharing this song with you because its just a great love song. If the grimiest of thugs can ride with this song word for word in the club….you know this is a good song. Everyone can relate to it. To love and loss and love again. To never give up in the race of love. If you want it, go for it.

Ritchie says it better himself…

“OOOhhh the shape i’m in, couldn’t believe I lost the race again, but I’m coming back in because I just gotta get in. Cause I’m trying to get to you…to you… to you”

YES! Determination.

Love beats you up…you dust yourself off and get back in the game.

I just love this song. Romantics anthem.

If you are in love…enjoy. If you aren’t…you have been and you can enjoy the tale of love.

Peace.
